I love sunshine and tea and music and dancing and going places and meeting people. I like to go with the flow and expect the unexpected, because I believe that life has better plans for me than I could ever make :) I am currently studying to be a Music Therapist and loving every minute of it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am in college and college is expensive and I am poor. But I won't let that stop me from going places! I want to make the most of my freedom as a young person and meet lovely, generous people who I can stay with and learn from :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love jazz. And the basically everything that comes from jazz... soul, RnB, hiphop... I also enjoy classical music, folk, indie and all the awesome stuff that happened before I was born ("golden oldies").

A few of my current favorite artists are: Willow Smith, Rex Orange County, Hozier, Tune-yards, Alt-J and Childish Gambino

You can't really go wrong with movies. I love anything with Johnny Depp. I really enjoyed Girl, Interrupted, which I saw recently. I like the new Sherlock Holmes movies with Robert Downey Jr. I'm just generally a fan a movies - comedys, romances, thrillers... just a hard pass on horror is all :)

Books! I love to read. I always just say that I like anything that is well-written. I recently read Breathing Lessons by Anne Tyler. I also really like Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I scuba dived in the Red Sea when I was 12 years old. That was pretty awesome.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a musician, so I can share beautiful music with you! I love singing and playing piano and I am learning to play the guitar. So if you play guitar and would like to teach me something new, I would love to learn a few tricks.

I am also a good cook and I love food. My Mama taught me how to cook with whatever is in the fridge, so I'm sure I can whip up something tasty from whatever is available.

I love to dance. I do a form of modern-jive, it's similar to swing and it is super easy. I would love to teach you a few moves :)
