My family went on a one-way trip from Hong Kong to Los Angeles, a journey that completely changed my perspective of the world. I have taken for granted that I live on a foreign land; I am always prepared to gawk at the non-tourist side of a city. Noticing that the metropolitan cities could be so distinct, I have always wanted to explore with a more open mind that I have experienced life in a country so different from the one I call home.

I enjoy listening to the radio -- an imaginary place where the world met. It served as a platform for people residing in other parts of the world to share thoughts and cultural difference. When I travel, I also like to see the non-tourist side of a city, broadening my perspective with a variety of culture or simply daily life of the locals.

A particular memorable experience was my road trip to Chicago from Los Angeles. We rode inside a car for 12 days, along Route 66 that seemed never ending, yet it was one of the most amazing/crazy things I've ever done.
