About Me

To listen and learn.

I am a school psychologist in Chicago although I think I'm about ready to take a pretty long traveling hiatus. I hope to develop my Spanish skills more fully, have some more time for writing, and take an existentially reflective break!

This is a long question that we should discuss over wine or beer or dinner. This is more of a dialogue full of questions than a question I can answer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just joined, so I'll be traveling and surfing for the next few months. When I return to Chicago, I look forward to hosting! I've had amazing experiences already, and I love the CS community.

So far I've only surfed and replied to emails from people visiting to Chicago to give suggestions. I look forward to getting more involved with more time and travels.

I spend a lot of time dancing- salsa dancing, tango dancing, swing dancing (mainly salsa dancing, but I'm also working on new dances). I also love writing, reading, and learning Spanish. I also am very introspective. I'm always thinking about the meaning of life and what I'm doing what life is all about. Perhaps too much. I also like yoga and super long walks. I could walk all day. In the elements. I also like to write limericks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had a moment when I was 20 and traveling for the first time when I felt like I was seeing the whole world for the first time. I was just looking at the plants and butterflies thinking, "Wow!!! Does this actually exist?! How have I never noticed how amazing this place is before?" I don't know what it was exactly, but I just sort of felt like I saw the world with fresh eyes that didn't take anything for granted. Very cool.
