ABOUT ME

I really enjoy travelling. The first time I travelled, it was to the USA to go camping, when I was 2 years old. Ever since, I go there every summer to camp. But what really gave me the passion for travelling was my school trip to spain, during my high school. Last summer, I also went to Finland as an exchange student, where I was living in a host family. But there is still so many places I'd die to visit!

What can I say about myself..
I'd say I'm a pretty simple person and easygoing. I'm rather silent and I don't like to be the center of attention, but I'm always there to listen and help others. But the more people get to know me, the more I get outgoing.
I enjoy photography, learning languages, snowboarding and playing music (I play guitar and piano).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't got the chance to participate yet, but I am sure willing to participate in the near future.

I do meet foreigners and hang out with them, showing a bit of the city and culture. I have took under my wing a german exchange student and also took "care of" my finnish host sister, during her short stay in Montreal.
I am now also working as a volunteer worker for AFS, a student exchange program. So in other words, I help the incoming exchange students to get used to the culture here.

I sure do know how more interesting it is to live in a native's home instead of staying in a hotel while travelling! I have been hosted by 2 amazing families both in Finland and in Spain.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My whole trip to Finland. I won't forget it! It was this one big project of mine that I have planned for over 2 years. I don't regret all the efforts I did to make it come true.

Teach, Learn, Share

There is nothing better than staying in a local/native's house when you travel. You learn so much from it. It's a lifetime experience you're not about to forget. It's amazing how you get to meet so many new people when you travel. Friendships you manage to create who will last forever.

I can teach about the French Canadian culture, I can help foreigners improving their french language skills. I also know quite a lot of stuff about the culture in general in Finland.
