To see the world outside of the cornfields of Iowa.
I am a soon to be medical student at the University of Iowa that is looking to do a little traveling before my head is in the books for the next four years. I grew up in a small town in Iowa and have yet to get out and travel. Growing up, I had a large family so, I love to meet new people and experience new things with those around me.
I love science and all nerdy things, yes, Star Wars and Lord of the Rings may be some of my favorite moves :) But, I also love to go out and have a good time. One of my favorite activities would have to be going out for drinks and trying new restaurants with my friends and laughing the evening away.
I live to enjoy my life, be happy and to help others. It is as simple as that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have had the opportunity to work in health-care and have seen many patients achieve goals that many thought were unattainable. It is an amazing experience to observe an individuals strength and determination when faced with a bleak prognosis that they are able to overcome.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to teach others about biology, genetics and the human body. If someone wants to listen I can talk forever about the human body and its wonders. I recently discussed with my ten year old nephew how all of the body systems interact. I don't think I have ever been so excited to share the knowledge I have and to learn to simplify difficult concepts to explain to a young mind.
