I just moved to Portland, Oregon after graduating from Grand Valley State University in Michigan with a teaching degree. I actually graduated once before in 2010. But, between academic endeavors, I volunteered for AmeriCorps in Moab, Utah from 2012-2013, where I assisted people in earning their GEDs, did a small amount of grant writing and curriculum development as well as admired the beauty of the seemingly infinite number of rocks, canyons, and occasional rivers.
