ABOUT ME

We have been together for 4 years. We decided to take year-long trip before settling down, but we ended up getting married en-route (in Samoa). Traveling is our passion, but when we are at home, we love a drink with a home-cooked meal and great discussions around the table. We enjoy watching movies in our spare time (documentaries, slapstick, dry humour and the occasional subtitle or action movie depending on who won paper, rock, scissors). We love to be outdoors (when it is not 35 below zero) so we walk to the local market or through the river valley or make a weekend trip to the Rocky Mountains. Trying new things keeps our lives interesting, so we are always testing out new food, trying new sports (currently surfing and Australian Rules Football) and thinking up new/fun ways to travel.

Surfed once in New Zealand and made some great new friends. Would love to do more surfing in Australia.

Both: backpacked Japan - top to bottom
Lauren: solo trip to India (twice), complete with a stay in an Indian hospital...
Zack: helped to lay down a hangi with an ex-All Black
