About Me

CURRENT MISSION

live 'til the next heartbeat

ABOUT ME

Oh, you know,I'm a red head, therefore I have no soul. but that's public knowledge.

But if you come try the too-comfy-for-its-own-good-couch in our living room, you might come to know this about me:

- I love the human body. I think it's grandiose. all those axons, chemical reactions, hormones, emotions. it's a perfectly tuned machine. But I'm a bit biaised. I'm lucky enough, medicine is my day job (and often night job. and weekends. but who cares when you love what you do)

- I love cooking. but mostly baking. and wine. and beer. It's almost like chemistry. Just more yummy. and I always need new guinea pigs to try the new creation.

- Politics is fascinating. You can get a good grip of a person's moral values by discussing policies and economico-political theories. But hey, voting for Sarah Palin is also perfectly natural (haha, gotcha. no, sorry, that's just not true)

- I'm lucky enough to come from a place where nature overwhelms you. The forest is everywhere, and you don't have far to go to go cross
country skiing, downhill skiing, running, kayaking and etcetera. And you really should give it a try and get off your a**.

- Travelling is about meeting people. Not seeing monuments and sights. Just plain discussing and getting the perspective on life of people living thousands of kilometers away from you, raised in a completely different context and realizing that, damn! you guys are so similar in so many ways. and it also about testing your GI system limits to food pathogens. (no, I really wish I could eat your piece of meat that's been outside at 40oC in burkina faso for the last 4 days covered with flies, but it would sadly be the end of me)

I now live with my dear cousin, Jean-Bernard, quite an interestingn character! He's often away for work, but if you have a chance to meet hime, he's funny and wonderful. and he makes creme brulee!

PHILOSOPHY

life is music, play it louder.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had the pleasure to host and be hosted. But I'm picky with who we take in, the CS spirit is important for me and I don't just want to be a conveniant free hotel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

met GREAT CSer in Bath, Dublin and Cork, Boston, Montreal, Istanbul, South America, Seattle, and so mny other places, having the time of our life!

But the all-star of couch surfing comes back to Hal Hodson. The guy is a CS legend. hoot hoot!

Music, Movies, and Books

I really wish I was that girl who read all the classic English litterature, postmodern american novels and that underground-author's-books-that-no-one-has-heard-of-except-the-guy-who-works-in-a-small-hipster-independant-library.

It's sadly not the case. I started 4 times Cien anos de soledad. And it's still on my bedside table. shame.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw someone who could lick her elbow. Amazing moment, I thought it was physically impossible. My world and understanding of our universe is now shattered.

Teach, Learn, Share
