CURRENT MISSION

Currently I'm working full time and starting law school at Quinnipiac part time this fall. I love to relax with my friends and go anyplace I can bring my dogs too.

ABOUT ME

I'm a 27 year old who just got her life together! Admitted to law school, moved out of Maine, and getting my life set up here in CT. I love to relax and talk music, my knowledge is vast and shallow but I'm willing to chat about the majority of musical genres. I spend most of my free time playing with, hiking with, and generally distracting my adorable hound dogs (both adopted from kill shelters). I love to cook and try new recipes with a tendency to try the most difficult recipe and be happy it is edible. I can talk your ear off about feminist theory and am pretty open about any political views. I never shy away from politics and religion so I guess I'm not polite company.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat people as people, don't define them by what you perceive to be their experiences. I guess that means I always try to treat every new person I meet as a blank slate to learn about and not project my views onto. It is hard to do once you start out but after years of learning this way it is a habit just like any other and it opens up your life to such great experiences!

Interessen

I'm always interested in learning a new perspective. I try to find out as much about other people as possible and understand their views. I love to learn and would love to be a full time student again.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love to read but haven't read a lot of books recently. I listen to an eclectic variety of music but own very few cds/tracks/records (spotify radio anyone?). I enjoy watching good/great/trashy movies.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

The most amazing thing I've seen/done was get lost for hours at the Ellis Island Immigration Museum, reading about the experiences of the people who went through there, feeling the push of their emotions as you learn about their lives.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Being able to admit you are wrong is hard but totally worth it. I make mistakes a lot but each time I learn. I take leaps in the kitchen trying any new cooking technique. I try any humane training method with my pets. I can teach people how to hula-hoop and to make pumpkin chocolate chip cookies that everyone loves. Also I can show you how my older dog is trained to let me know what she wants (otherwise known as a spoiled rotten pup). I can show you how to make bagels and not loose your cool when in a difficult situation.
