To live and to love the life with which I am blessed.
I am adventurous and have lived all over the world since the early 1950's. I love to meet new people and enjoy new cultures. I think experiencing new cultures is an important of helping world understanding and peace. I am blessed to have friends all over the world including those friends I have known since I was 8 years old. I am 61 now. I am an artist. My wonderful husband of 36 years used to live in International House when he was in Graduate School in NYC. I have two daughters: one who couch surfs, and one who just graduated from NYU. I love my family, friends, and pets.
I feel extremely blessed. The more grateful I am, the more things come to me for which I am grateful. The more I explore the world, the more I see there is to explore. I love life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am new to couch surfing, but I intend to become more involved when I return to NJ.
I stayed with a lovely lady, Sharon Hammer, in San Ramon, Costa Rica. She made me feel so welcome and included me in some of her events. I am thrilled to have discovered couch surfing.
Traveling, art, museums, plays, opera, music of all kinds, reading (I belong to a book club), entertaining, and nurturing my friendships. Also enjoying my animals: a Sheltie, a tiny Pomeranian, and a cat.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love plays, especially comedies. I absolutely love to laugh until the tears start rolling down my cheeks. I love historical fiction and crime novels. I love being exposed to music from all over the world. One of my favourite musical experiences was listening to the throat singers in Mongolia. Another was attending a Mozart opera in a tiny opera house in Warsaw, When the curtain went up a huge baritone was lying on the stage dressed in Roman soldier costume with Mozart wig on his head.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing that has happened to me is when an absolutely loving Presence visited me. I started crying because the love was so great...not like any earthly love. The second most amazing thing was when the head of my first daughter first touch my cheek. I was consumed by a love that was all consuming.
Teach, Learn, Share
I used to be afraid of not being perfect. Now I laugh at my imperfections and realize that they are the human part of me. Every day I tell my husband, Jim, what I think I have done to harm our relationship, but what he has done to enhance our relationship. He does the same for me. We have been married 36 years, and we are madly in love.
