ABOUT ME

Hello,
I am 25 I have been cooking since I was 15 starting at a neighborhood pizza place. During High School I attended culinary programs through school, and found that I enjoyed being in a professional kitchen. After graduating High school in 2005 I attended one of the most respected culinary programs in the country Schoolcraft college in Metro Detroit for my culinary certificate. Schoolcraft has a very small attendance and for that reason it isn't as well known as a lot of the other bigger culinary schools across the country. My first restaurant job was when I was 18. I have been mostly working in restaurants since, only just recently taking a job at a massive commissary in downtown Detroit.

PHILOSOPHY

I live for great food!! I think that food brings people together and there is so much to learn about it. The world of cuisine is ever expanding and no one person can learn all that there is to know in one lifetime. I want to focus on my "roots", I am 50% Sicilian, 25% Polish, and another 25% German, and French. I think that Italian food is the greatest in the world mainly because that's where I can be traced back. My family is from Terrasini Sicily and I want to go back after visiting once before when I was very young.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never used couchsurfing.com before so this is definitely a first for me. Seems like a great idea for meeting new people and helping eachother out.

Interests

I love Martial arts, I used to do Judo but stopped after some time due to people dropping out of class. I also enjoy riding my bike in the summer time and listning to music.
