Leading food tours to the tastiest spots in Berlin.
I'm a New York cab driver and food writer originally from California. I moved to Berlin in April 2011 and now lead food tours from a Berlin taxicab.
When I'm off duty, I get into random taxis, ask the drivers to take me to their favorite places to eat and document my adventures at http://www.taxigourmet.com.
"In the moment I buy an air ticket, I'm not thinking about the monuments I will see nor the landscapes I will cross. No, I am thinking about what I will eat, and, above all, with whom I will eat it."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm interested in meeting locals and travelers to Berlin and sharing good things to eat.
I've had no couchsurfing experience...yet!
Cooking, restaurant reconnaissance, football (soccer), travel, music, art, walking/hiking, film.
Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite book tends to be the one I'm reading at the moment. Right now it's Christopher Isherwood's Berlin Stories, which is really fantastic. I also love Snow by Orhan Pamuk and the short stories of Jorge Luis Borges. Music? Where to begin?! Tango, jazz, rock...etc., etc. My favorite movies tend to be food related (e.g. Big Night, Babbette's Feast, Mostly Martha).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Serving as a judge at the National Empanada Festival in Tucuman, Argentina in 2008, where I got to eat 14 of the greatest empanadas on the planet. Driving my taxi around New York City is a close second.
