Overview
About Me
I am a reformed Southern Debutante, pretty low maintenance, not a diva or a princess type. I am a chef by trade and would love to cook for my hosts! I lived in Alaska for 16 years and the UK for one. I have been to every state except HI. Once managed the youth hostel in Anchorage where I had a great time meeting people from everywhere. I am only 5 ft tall so I don't take up much space. I travel as a sales rep about 300 days out of the year. I believe in tolerance, peace and that every person is a potential friend I just have not met yet. I believe in building bridges, not walls.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I travel for a living and couch surfing is a great way to really meet new people---hotel room after hotel room gets boring and stale! Looking for a way to really connect with local people and make new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
Kurt Vonnegut will always be my favorite. I also love Mary Karr and David Sedaris. I like a lot of 80's alternative and new wave (I once saw R.E.M. with just 300 other people back in the early 80s). The last concert I saw was Stevie Nicks. My favorite movie of all time: The Razor's Edge with Bill Murray.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was the food service coordinator for Special Olympics World Winter Games 2001 in Alaska. My job was to make sure all 7000 participants had good, healthy food for two weeks.
