About Me

My name is Lea, I'm originally from Germany but currently living in Maastricht (Netherlands) for my study in Psychology and Neuroscience.
I love to get to know new people and to discover new places and cultures. You won't have a tough time to convince me to go out for a pint or more as I am a quite communicative soul and try to enjoy life to the fullest.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet locals and someone who knows the place well, with it getting a deeper insight in the culture and location wherever I happen to be.

I am an absolute music enthusiast and love going to concerts and festivals. When travelling, I always look for fancy pubs and nice spots to explore the lifestyle and culture of the particular country/city I am in.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: all sorts of rock (post-rock, stoner, psychedelic), metal (doom, sludge, post-metal), indie, electronic music/techno, 50's, 60's, etc. - I'm actually always happy to discover new kinds of music and exchange about music (given that it isn't that super commercial shit)

[Some bands I appreciate: Queen, Cult of Luna, Touche Amore, Tool, Black Sabbath, Rainbow (Dio), Pentagram, Radiohead, Portishead, Deftones, Truckfighters, System of a down, John Coffey, Kyuss, Graveyard, Tame Impala, Massive Attack, Appalaches, Long Distance Calling, Grim van Doom, Cranial, Pearl Jam, Kings of Leon, Alt-j, The Strokes, Paolo Nutini, and many many more (side note: order here is random and does not reflect any preferences ;))]

Movies: hard to tell favorites but these are ones I really enjoyed and which impressed me in one way or the other: American Beauty, Take Shelter, Danish Girl, Melancholia, The Great Gatsby, Pride & Prejudice

Authors/Books: Almost all books from Cody McFadyen but especially 'The Face of Death'; Simon Beckett
