ABOUT ME

We are a young couple currently living in Brooklyn and preparing to travel the world! We love meeting new people and exploring new cultures. Michael's hero is Fabian Cancellara and Leda's hero is Ina May Gaskin. If you know who either of those people are, you'll know us pretty well. We also love our dog, a pretty pit bull named Chi Chi.

PHILOSOPHY

We believe that people are good, deep down, everyone wants to do the right thing. We also believe in fairness, patience, and fighting for radical change when right. We're very sensitive and also have great senses of humors. We're aware that this teeny little page can't say nearly all there is about us, so we also welcome more open-ended questions in person.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We initially joined Couch Surfing to find places to stay during our upcoming trip to Europe, but the more we learn about it, the more we like being a part of it for other reasons: to make new friends, learn about a city right from its city-zens, and even host some other like-minded travelers in our own Brooklyn home.

We are couch surfing virgins. So far, we love it!

Michael: sitting in a tributary of the Colorado River at the bottom of the Grand Canyon watching the day (heat) pass by.
Leda: walking up to the maddeningly loud cries of chai wallas poking their tea cups through the window slats of the overnight train from Jaipur to Varanasi (India)

Teach, Learn, Share

Michael can share cooking skills, guitar lessons, and knowledge of the law! Leda can teach you how to pirouette or how to create a kitschy embroidered something, and can give lots of tips on pregnancy, birth, and early parenting.
