ABOUT ME

Orginally, I'm from the USA, but I haven't lived there for almost six years now. Instead, I'm a teacher who has lived in South Korea for 4 years now and Japan for 1 year. I'm finishing my MA in education this October and am going to try to move to a new place.

Interests

Like most other couchsurfers, traveling is my largest interest. I enjoy trying new food, meeting new people, and experiencing new cultures. One of my unofficial goals whenever I'm in a new country is to try all the different soft drinks, especially Fanta. So far Japan's melon and. Norway's exotic Fanta are my favorites. Such a silly goal that is cheap and fun for me.
Outside of traveling, I enjoy reading books; watching movies, plays, ballets or operas; yoga; relaxing with friends - preferably with alcohol involved; dancing; and shopping.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh dear. Where to start? There are very few movies I have seen that I dislike. I enjoy action movies, especially ones with some fantasy thrown in, like superhero movies, or magic movies. Disney has been an important part of my life and I shameless see animated movies in the theaters. Hungry games is one of my favorite movie series, along with Avengers. Comedies are also fun; This is the End, Ted, and Zombieland are some of my favorite more recent comedies. On guilty pleasure nights I like watching movies that are bad they are funny, like Temors or Sharknado.
I also am really into Game of Thrones, Once Upon a Time, BBC's Sherlock, and Project Runway for TV shows. I also enjoy Japanese television, animated or sit-coms.

As for music, I listen to everything. There is very little I dislike;some jazz or Anka (traditional. Japanese or Korean singing). Truthfully, my mood effects my music choices. I played the violin for 10 years, and the harp for 6 so I enjoy a lot of classical music as well as Musical OSTs.
