ABOUT ME

my friends would probably say that i'm funny, although a bit quiet. a little bit quirky and/or weird. artistic. they'd say don't trust this traveling gypsy queen, she'll flutter your heart and spread your wings. something like that. i don't really know though, it's hard to say what others think of you. but i do know the people in my life, my friends, are amazing and beautiful and love me very much.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

um, so far i have only stayed with one host, in bristol. that was pretty awesome. and although i joined while i am traveling, i did host quite a lot of people in places i have lived in canada, just not through the website. so, i look forward to being able to host people when i do settle back in canada.

Interests

for the last year i have been living sort of on the fringes, in the moment, traveling. i cycled around europe and i love bicycles. i have varied interests and have my hands in many pots, so to speak. i really like being creative, i paint, write, sew, embroider. sewing is my main creative passion at the moment, and i want to start my own clothing line. i have done some post-secondary in photography, really love that. i love to juggle, swim, learn, read. i love connecting with people and engaging in sort of political or any sort of deeper conversation or debate. i've learned a bit of yoga and tai chi. i love music, and dancing. i think dancing might be my favorite thing to do. with music or without. i like going to music festivals. i play a bit of guitar and drums, but not amazingly, just for fun. i really like jamming with people and singing. i think i could probably go on and on. basically, life engages me and i'm lucky to have found so many beautiful things and people that stimulate my mind, growth and heart.

Music, Movies, and Books

too many to list. i love it all. well...almost.
i really like tom robbins, he's been a favorite author. and kurt vonnegut, probably the best.
i really like music, i guess some favorites at the moment would be: bonobo, cocorosie, , florence and the machine, fiest, rjd2, radiohead, tool, ben howard, blockhead, tom waits, hmm, so so many.
and movies, i don't know. it depends on my mood.
but i do really like wes anderson flicks. and star wars, a classic i suppose, who doesnt like yoda or jedis?
