About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet open minded travellers and make contacts

ABOUT ME

I used to be very shy - not so much now
I am usually quiet however but once people get to know me - not everybody - but some people wish i would shut up
I value friendship and have 2 very great friends in my home town here i had since childhood
I am a member of a Young International Society for Young Gardeners and organised a meeting this year for 46 people in Chester, England. We had a great time - if you ever go Chester check out the Chez Jules Restaurant
You can see other info about me atWe had a great time
I do need to decorate my house - something i keep putting up because i keep planning holidays and going travelling.
I have a very nice garden where i grow my own fruit - so it is Organic Plums, Apples, Pears, Rasberries, etc when they are in season - then i freeze some and my stepfather makes some wine.
I have travelled to a few countries in Europe - see my other website at http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/ea42c/
My home town Blackburn is not the prettiest but we have some nice countryside around the town - see pics on my other website

PHILOSOPHY

Do to others as they would do to you

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

NOt with Couchsurfing but i have had 2 girls from New Zealand stay at my home and 2 girls from Austria - i guess i love being a host.

Interests

Cycling - cyle touring ie 40-60 miles a day. City biking - ie a town bike and going around a European city - visiting museums etc - going coffee shops - chilling out. Trams. Metro. Do a bit of part time football refereeing at times to keep fit. Cycling and running are the best things i guess - and fast walking - although of course i do slow walking when with less athletic people

Travel reading - newspapers - books, etc - internet
Planning trips on maps like cycle journeys

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done a very many nice things. I can equal pleasure out of most things - so - sorry - there has been no big WOW -so to speak - not yet anyway. I love nature and scenery - Switzerland was very nice

Teach, Learn, Share

What can i offer - goodness knows - maybe a laughter club - this has some benefits
I love to encourage people to cycle because many people think they have to be very fit and this is not the case - for me it is easier than walking - you have to think you are moving for 10 mins and not half and hour (ie - you get there quicker on the bike than walking). When it is aslo flat cycling is very easy and enjoyable.
