Live my life now so that I'll have the best stories out of anyone in the old folks' home when I'm 90.

ABOUT ME

An introverted extrovert, prone to periods of existentialism and overthinking, giver of advice both good and bad. By all accounts, I've had a pretty interesting life - but I'd much rather hear about yours. Oh, and a fair warning: by talking to me, you unwittingly give me permission to write you into a story, should the mood strike.

PHILOSOPHY

Keep making those spontaneous - if not "poor" - life choices, because they make the best stories. Who wants to read a boring book?

Music, Movies, and Books

After being a classical musician for 10 years (Bb clarinet mostly, but also bass clarinet for 3 and Eb when called upon) I will honestly listen to any type of music you throw at me. Left to my own devices, I tend to gravitate to Indie or hard rock/metal, but I also love trance/drum and bass/other electronica-types.

As for books - don't get me started. Neil Gaiman is a god, The Poisonwood Bible should be mandatory reading, and any phrase Kurt Vonnegut speaks is instantly better than it ever has been or ever will be again (although his works are not for the easily confused). Give me 10 minutes with you and I'll have loaded you up with lists and suggestions. I buy books simply to loan them out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen...I've been in several tornadoes, and each one reminds me just how powerful nature is. Ever seen a green sky? It's probably the creepiest, most amazing, most terrifying thing you'll ever come across.

Beyond that, well...I've been known to get pretty passionate about grammar and writing, and I can also teach you all about fish.
