About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make the world a smaller place

ABOUT ME

I make things!

I'm always working on something interesting. Just ask.

Sometimes I know what day it is.

PHILOSOPHY

Shape your tools, or be shaped by them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A friend of mine told me about this, and vouched for the community here. That is the extent of my experience!

I have hosted random people before, just not using this service.

Interests

All branches of science and engineering. Statistics. Punched cards. Solar power.

Basically the things I do for fun, most people consider "work". You'll probably either think that's awesome, or really boring.

Also cooking! I'm pretty OK at it and it's my least toxic hobby, I promise!

Minecraft is pretty cool too.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't listen to music, and have no favorite books or movies. I don't really have time for culture that is consumed passively, the universe is too exciting for that!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time I harnessed the power of the atom, and ended up speaking at an engineering conference.

This is why I no longer drink before making New Year's resolutions.

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to live in Vietnam, where I found a good group of engineering types and worked on some fun stuff.

Now I'm suddenly in Tokyo and don't know anyone, looking to fix that.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm really, really good at navigating. The experience of being lost is utterly alien to me.

Also I always travel with the tools to fix all the other things I travel with. I'm a walking factory/repair shop. If you've got something particularly interesting I'll take a look.

If you run a business or startup, I can be a good person to bounce ideas off of sometimes.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Cambodia, China, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Japan, Maldives, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Viet Nam
