Hello! I am a couchsurfing newbie and I hope to meet some nice people! I am an artistic, adventurous person who is curious by nature. I enjoy immersing myself in other cultures and like to have interesting experiences while traveling. I have traveled quite a bit, in Europe, Asia, Middle East and Hawaii, now I am traveling in Mexico. Aside from traveling, my interests are, making jewelry, herbalism, yoga, and writing. I am interested in staying healthy, being creative, and giving back to the world in some way. For the past 5 years I have been working as a jeweler for a small jewelry manufacturer in Buffalo, NY. I learned a lot there, however, now I am in the process of gathering materials and ideas to design my own jewelry. Aside from my interests, I am a person who enjoys meeting new people, I am sociable, like to laugh and have fun and I have a big heart.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couchsurfing as a means to meet interesting people and have a different kind of experience while traveling. To know a person from the place I am visiting is invaluable because I can learn more about the culture, local ways, and perhaps good places to visit.

Interests

I am gathering materials and ideas to design my own jewelry line. Here in Mexico I’m interested in pre-Hispanic jewelry and also the many stones that are found in Mexico. I am starting an online writing course in December that will help me to develope some ideas I have for blogging and perhaps a book. I do yoga regularly and try to do a little meditation. I like to listen to many different kinds of music, some of these are; indie, electronic, electo pop, classical, alternative.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived on a beach in Hawaii for three months in a semi-remote valley where lived wild horses, pigs and other interesting creatures. I harvested wild coffee berries there, dried and roasted it myself. It was one darn good cup of coffee!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach someone English if they were interested, yoga basics, how to make natural skin care preparations, stone setting and metalworking basics, ( need tools). I can share my knowledge of poi, and whatever I know about the countries I’ve been to and lived in.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share good conversation about life, politics, spirituality, and traveling. I can share a desire to learn about a place and have a good time there.
