Hi! Im Leire, spanish student living in Madrid.
I love visiting new places, having new experiences... I find myself pretty easy going, trying to get the beauty of every experience and embracing the diversity of the world.
About me, I love getting lost in the street and in my mind (quite absent-minded), art, reading... I do ballet and theatre; im an activist for Amnesty International and do some volunteering.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In spite of I cant host because of my circumstances at home, I love the idea that brings this community to live. So many open arms and minds.
And what is best that getting to know a new place and a culture than with a local??

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazing thong Ive ever done is volunteering in the Jungle, a refugee camp in Calais. I can talk for hours about this.
I also had the opportunity to travel to Colombia with a grant and visit some amazing places as the National Natural Park of Tayrona or the Cañon del Chicamocha.
Also crossing the United States by van; all camping.
Does the Interrail trip count? We spent a month and a week travelling, some days renting appartment and eating well, some others feeding us with free samples and sleeping in the street.
