ABOUT ME
I'm from Western Canada so I'm friendly, talkative, and love traveling! I've taken a year off from Uni in Canada to explore Australia on a working holiday visa, but so far I haven't done much [no work!].
PHILOSOPHY
Now or never--that's how I was thinking when I booked my ticket to Australia with hardly any money to come here with ha.
travel travel travel! --get to know new people, cultures, and experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: a weird range from metal/rock such as Children of Bodom, A7x, AC/DC, etc.. to Carla Bruni, Adele, the Naked and Famous, John Butler . . . I like most music.
Movies: Into The Wild, Black Swan, Kill Bills
Books: memoirs, esp The Glass Castle; fiction & non-fiction [not into sci-fi, country-western, or romance]
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amazing to see the locals [esp the children!] in a small town of the Philippines!
Visiting a Mosque for prayer; most significantly attending a 3 day class on the 99 names of God in Islam--I've never seen nor felt anything like it since, the religious passion and intensity in the room--impressive and incredible, I grasped a great deal of their religion just from being in the class.
Teach, Learn, Share
My major is in Religious Studies [world religions] and Middle Eastern & African politics. My aim is to get into Peace & Post Conflict studies. I would love to share about other religions I've learned about, such as Islam or Mormonism, as I find many tend to be ignorant of. I love to learn about other cultures, so long as the person teaching me is not narrow-minded [that's a one-way conversation, trust me lol]
