ABOUT ME

I am Latvian. No matter where the life takes me that's where my heart belongs. I love reading books, hanging out with my friends, who are the greatest in the whole world, I love my family and even my slightly crazy relatives. I have spent two amazing years in Italy, in United World College that brings together people from all around the world- we lived in one tiny small town called Duino. It was so much fun - the best two years of my life so far. And now the path of life has taken me to the UNited States - Minneapolis, where I am currently attending Macalester College and educating myself.
I love singing and have sung since i can remember myself. Swimming used to take up a big part of my life, but not anymore. Now it is dancing, which i have only recently discovered but fallen in love with. I love to dance all kinds of dancing - ballet, lyrical, jazz, modern, contemporary...
I love animals and my hero, apart from my mom, who is the most wonderful woman in the world, is Jane Goodall. I dreamt about being a veterinary until i was 16 or 17, and i still hope that one day i will be able to help more to the animals and protect them from unnecesarry brutal and violent suffering they have to undergo because of terrible people in the world.
I find strenght in my family, my friends, nature, animals, good books, music, dance and yes, i admit that - coffee...I am always up for a cup of good steaming dark roasted coffee.Mm...:)

PHILOSOPHY

I truly believe that we compare ourselves with each other too much, sometimes even subconsciously. And that leads us to sometimes feeling less worthy and bad, although we shouldn't. Because we are all so amazingly unique. And the only exemplar. Well, at least, until they discover that cloning is actually possible.
I also believe in love. No matter how lame this phraze sounds, i do believe that the greatest thing one can ever learn out of all great things is how to love and to be loved in return. Relationships are work, hard work, but with very sweet fruits. :) Deep,ha?

My favourite singer for a long time already is australian Missy Higgins. Introduced by my friend aussie Laura, I fell in love with Missy's tender voice tember, lyrical melody and great lyrics. I also really like Rod Stewart, Nick Drake, Nick Cave, Joss Stone, Enya, Bob Dylan, Norah Jones, Brainstorm and generally all latvian music.
