Hi everyone! My name is Len and I live in Wűrzburg which is a part of the German "romantic road". I'm originally from the Philippines.
Traveling helps me to get away from the busy life of a researcher. It helps me get in touch with the world and what it has to offer. So, whenever there is a chance, I grab my backpack and go some place I've never been before.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I find it great to meet new people, especially the locals of any place. For me, the core of understanding and enjoying every place I visit is the chance of getting to know the culture through the people.
I love to go either on long-stay trips or backpacking on weekends. I do these often to explore various cultures. I enjoy visiting museums and landmarks to know more about the places I visit. Moreover, I head out to local restaurants to try the food, which I believe is an important part of every culture. One thing that drives me nuts are the ruins of old. I view ancient history as the heart of a city's coming to terms with its current state. I am also crazy about nature. Hence, a major part of my trips include hiking and visiting nature areas.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music could connect to the innermost parts of you. Hence, I go for the type that calms and empowers.
I am into inspirational books that are designed to give encouragement. One of my favorite authors are John Bevere and Max Lucado.
Meanwhile, movies set in the 18th century or earlier, depicting monarchy with castles and ruins as backdrop are my favorite.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Letting my eyes feast on the beauty of nature such as the fjords of Norway is a delight not only to the physical senses but to the soul. Being in contact with such majestic creation enables me to grasp the reality and tangibility of the Creator.
Teach, Learn, Share
When I meet newcomers in the city where I currently live, I enjoy being the "unofficial" tour guide. It doesn't tire me out to visit landmarks in my city over and over again to explain their grandeuer to newcomers. :)
