I am very new to this network, because....... Marburg is such a small/unknown place to the international backpacker/tourist that I never saw any occasion for signing up... - sorry!! Im about to change this!!
I share my home with 4 of my friends in the centre of Marburg - a lovely country town in Hessen.
Just finished my teaching degree (social studies and english as a foreign language) and will start working as a teacher in may 2018 (hopefully...).
In the meantime I have finally time to travel and I will visit a dear old friend in California.
Im an open and spontaneous person, I love spending time outdoors.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think there are many things in this world we are better off sharing than selling to each other - one of them being the roof over the head we can provide for a stranger / traveller.
I do not travel to faraway places for the sake of sightseeing (although the world for sure has some great sights to offer!). The reasons why I travel (preferably without a car) are the unforeseen encounters, the spontaneous conversations, the impression I can get of a place by talking to the people who live there.
