About Me

patience and concentration

still figuring this out... i am naturally curious and inquisitive, i enjoy meeting people and talking with them and i can also be perfectly content with staring and observing from afar. sometimes i'm loud. i don't get bored. i want to know many languages. i am always trying to improve my cooking and learn more about food for a far-off dream. musical instruments and live music are thrilling to me. so is finding an excellent youtube playlist to jam to.

as above so below

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

i host and surf, meet people for a coffee and a chat, encounter incredible, openminded, interesting people - many that i'm lucky to hang out with again in totally different parts of the world. i'm happy to just give you recommendations of things to do in my city if i'm away exploring.

if you're trying to "hook up" keep browsing...

i've met some of my absolute favorite people through couchsurfing, not always hosting or surfing, but just meeting a local and seeing a new city through their eyes - and, of course, getting a chance to be that local! bring some languages with you, the ability to master multiple is inspiring.

observing, learning, animals, trees, dialogue, sarcasm, reading, lists, dancing, laughing, baking, traveling, salads, improvising, organizing, psychology, cars, existentialism, asking questions, pictures, arts & crafts, guitars, hip hop, snow, rain, sunshine and summer, bodies of water, colorful outfits, languages, culture, sociology, economics, conspiracy theories...

Music, Movies & Books

beats: guitar, underground and old school rap and hip hop, latin music of pretty much any variety, classical, classic rock...

books: Catch 22, Slaughterhouse 5, Siddhartha, Demian, The Art of Loving, The Good Earth, Kinfolk, Four Meals, The Kite Runner, Franny & Zooey and Catcher in The Rye by J.D. Salinger, The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, some Malcolm Gladwell, The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey, Brave New World by Alduous Huxley, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, Dostoyevsky is fantastic. always up for recommendations!

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Teach, Learn, Share

Your eye expands when looking at something pleasing.

Be your own person. If you don't know who that is, take the time to discover yourself. You might even have potential to give this world something amazing. Don't waste your time being anyone else, there's someone already doing that and they're better at it than you are! Face the things that you are afraid of. Don't be afraid to die, you'll only forget to live. Live like you're dreaming. Try everything twice (the first time is overshadowed by silly human excitement and emotions). Don't watch TV and if you do, don't believe anything it tells you - its all marketing and politics. Don't read too many newspapers, read some blogs instead - no one knows the realities of a community, country, culture, society better than its people! Communicate with people you don't want to lose touch with. Love yourself. TRAVEL. Open your mind, open your heart. Live in the moment, there is not yesterday and tomorrow will never come. THE ONLY TIME IS NOW.
