To learn and experience!
... I could be that stranger chatting you up at a bus stop. I'm a very friendly forward person though sometimes (I can be) reserved. I'm also very passionate, partly because of my upbringing, and partly, I guess I'm just being me. I love life and I love what I do. Which brings me to that, I work as a producer. I make films and documentaries- all sorts. I consider myself a pretty artistic person. I have lived in three different countries, and can speak two languages fluently, and a bunch of others not so fluently. (I pick up words where-ever I go). I love to travel, and to see and hear about different ways of life. I want to experience it, which is why I'm here.
Never give up.
(I guess I somewhat answered that up there)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've surfed a few couches, and I plan on hosting in the future, and traveling some more. I've also been to a few CS gatherings (one in Winnipeg).
I surfed 2 couches, 7 beds, 3 and a half hostels, 1 floor, 1 airport, and 1 train station in Europe - 2 summers ago.
It was by far, one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had, and I would do it all over again, in a hummingbirds heartbeat.
Film, cinematography, cameras and editing software. Music, writing, reading, traveling, taking bathshower (that's both at the same time:P). Basically any form of art, and expression. Also I'm interested in the world, and issues around it. I believe in the good in everyone, and in fairness in the world. And though I know it doesn't always exist, I believe you can always try to make it better for somebody else.
Music, Movies, and Books
Ahh there are so many movies that I like for different reasons and it's always changing.
Books I like - Ender's Saga by Orsen Scott Card (15), Richard Bach (19), A Brave New World (18), The bell jar (18), The Flying Troutmans (23), Voltair (22), The Outsiders (14) and Dreamweaver (14).
I like all sorts of music, tempos and beats. From Iron and Wine to Lilly Allen, Mark Knopfler, Depeche Mode, (sigh) Straylight Run, Nat King Cole to harder rock -Taking Back Sunday. There's more and I'm tired (I'll finish this later)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I will never forget how I jumped off a train, just once, while it was moving.
I've also seen about five percent of the world which is pretty awesome.
and When I was surfing in Israel a few summers ago, I ran into a shepherd in the hills, and one of his sheep was giving birth -it was gross! but neat.. and kinda beautiful at the same time.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you some Hebrew-(smile). And a lil' bit of spanish, some Final Cut Pro, how to use diff kinds of camera's...angles.. bla bla bla. Ooo, I could also teach you Tennis and how to play Marry had a little lamb on the piano. -I could probably teach you more than just that though, it all depend on how much you want to learn...
