Improving my qualities as a Team Leader as I have recently been promoted :)
Since seven years I leave in the middle east and spent almost all my time seeing the world from this dusty hub which connects traditional arabic culture with 21st century modern business and industrial life.
Carpe diem! Trying to be happy and make my friends happy. I'm free to do anything I want to as long as it doesn't hurt others. Life is short, so I use it well...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unfortunately I already share the place with two others and there is no space for additional couch but it will be my pleasure to take you around Qatar and show what you must see once visiting this unique country.
As I can not host although I really wish I could, my Couchsurfing experience is limited to few times I met couch surfers around the world, many times I met other couchsurfers in Qatar and one very exciting time when I surfed a couch in Ethiopia.
I'm interested in traditional cultures of the world. Used to be an instrucor for polish country dancing. Can also do some scottish, french, hungarian and romanian country dancing. I'm not bad in salsa. Trying to play hurdy-gurdy and violin but it isn't easy:)
Music, Movies, and Books
Music I love: folk, classic, lyrical. Don't like very loud music...
Books: almost all of them. Pity that life is too short to read all.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There was thousands of them. Meet me in Doha, so I can tell you all about it:)
Teach, Learn, Share
Remember that all of us have a different comfort zone and this personal space between you and the person you are talking to is very important. If you travel to a country which is culturaly very different from yours try to watch the distance between locals when they are communicating. Try not to make them uncomfortable by reducing their space.
Smile goes a long way, so keep smiling whenever you feel it's appropriate.
