I am a settled guy, I seek the calm and quite rather than stress and noise. (seems strange, since I live in the heart of germanys biggest city).
But still I am a guy who says Yes as often as possible and I am open for every kind of adventure life has to offer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I feel the need to dig deeper in the societies and countries I travel to and I think the best way to accomplish that is to stay with locals.
Also the hosts probably know a lot more about the cities and regions and where to go and what to do.
This way of traveling is a lot more likely to be an adventure, than with booking a hotel.

Interests

I am in love with aviation. I have a pilots license for gliders and light sports aircraft and I spend a lot of time on the airfield and in the air.

Also I do a lot of photography and have good fun taking and editing beautiful pictures of people, architecture, landscape and more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Despite the Situation with Covid, I was able to get a mountainous flying familiarization in Switzerland and crossed the Alps in a one engined aircraft.

I lived and worked in a benedictian monastery in Switzerland and developed amazing friendships with some of the monks. It was incredible to experience this special way of life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I really like good conversations, especially with interesting people, who have a story to tell. I think, since we will most likely be from different countries, there will be some topics to share!
I am also very willing to help wherever I can in the household if there is something to do, e.g. in the kitchen.
