About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live life and be happy doing it!
ABOUT ME
I am taking my sweet time becoming professional in anything - I want to see the world while I am young and able.
I love the environment.
I love tea, but I have nothing against coffee.
I like being on the move, because I get to meet new people, see new sights, find new favourite spots for tea, food, and pondering my thoughts.
I do not like raging parties, but a beverage or two in good company is always welcome.
I can be quiet, but I am friendly and generally happy.
I like good conversation, but do not mind silence (it's never awkward for me).
PHILOSOPHY
Ben Harper says it best for me: "My choice is what I chose to do, and if I'm causing no harm it shouldn't bother you. Your choice is who you chose to be, and if you're causing no harm then you're alright with me"
I live my life for myself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've *officially* couchsurfed only twice, but there are two other times that were hooked up through friends of friends while I've been traveling through Australia.
When I return home to Canada, and get myself a little more established (aka get an apartment), my doors will be open to any surfers passing through my neck of the woods!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Both the official and unofficial couchsurfing has been awesome! I love this idea. Not only is it great for the budget traveler, but staying in someone's home is SUCH a good break from the hostel life. I also loved being able to meet and get to know locals!
Interests
I love to get up on stage and sing my heart out at open mic nights.
I enjoy acrylic painting.
I like playing frisbee.
I like animals of all kinds... unless they have eight creepy legs.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Xavier Rudd
Ingrid Michaelson
Mumford and Sons
Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros
Ben Harper
Blue Rodeo
Hey Ocean
Jason Mraz
...and many many many more!
Movies:
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
...and anything with Will Ferrell. I like to laugh!
Books:
I'll be honest, I don't read much. I don't like things I'm forced to do, and reading was always something forced on me in grade school, and I grew up disliking it... a lot. Now, however, give me an autobiography of a really cool person, or a nonfiction book about a really sweet event, and I may just bury my nose in it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Mountains! I didn't grow up around them, so moving to BC and being surrounded by them was just amazing. I love every second of the sights I see! The sky and sunsets always look amazing!
The Mezquita in Cordoba, Spain still sticks out as the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Amazing architecture and landscapes with ponds and gardens, I wouldn't mind going back! I highly recommend the visit!
Snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef has mostly recently been added to this list. So beautiful and colourful. What a happy place it was, and I got to swim with a turtle and he didn't mind me hanging out with him. Righteous.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to love and respect Mother Earth.
I'm not a hippie by any means, and I don't preach, but I like to share sustainability with those who want to learn.
I can cook you some food in exchange for your hospitality.
I have an open mind, and would love to learn anything and everything I can from you!
