My name is Lev, I am 20 years old and from Nijmegen, The Netherlands.

I'm studying philosophy, I work in a record shop in Nijmegen. My hobbies are composing music, writing poetry and reading. My interests are; philosophy, cooking and hiking. What i'm looking for in my travels are beautiful national parks and hiking in nature, visiting historical sights and getting to know the culture of the country.

I am half Moroccan and half Turkish, but not religious. I am open minded and not prone to judge someone else for his or her traits.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because this way I can meet people who can show me parts of their culture and I can experience the country or city in a authentic way instead of the tourist route. From cultural food, places of interest or just chatting and learning from a host sounds amazing to me.

My musical preference goes out to Jazz and folk (especially the Jazz-folk combinations). But I can appreciate (and do love) all sorts of genre's, from soul and funk all the way to metal and prog. rock.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing i've done was travel to Tenerife and go to the top of the volcano called Mt. Teide, which rises 7,500m above the ocean floor and is among the world’s largest volcanoes.

To stand on top Mt. Teide and gaze at a beautiful sea of clouds beneath you was awe-some.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I adore learning. Learning about your culture, music, about your style of cooking or about the subject you're studying at school.

What I can share might vary from (hopefully) deep and spiritual conversations, to very cool musical knowledge (I learn a lot working in a huge record shop) and historical knowledge if you're interested in that.

Stories about past travels or just minor life experiences if you enjoy a conversation like that. And if you like your rest i can share my silence and peace.
