I want to hug every cat in the world.
I'm a 26 year old photographer and student at Cooper Union in New York City. I'm very much into exploring new places, meeting new people, and going on destination-less adventures. I have a cat named Jesse who is hilarious and amazing, and try to ride my bicycle every day. I'm all about positivity and good vibes and tend to surround myself with like minded people and situations. I even have a PMA tattoo (positive mental attitude) on my ribs! I've been told I'm easy to be around and am truly excited to sign up for CouchSurfing after hearing so much about it for so many years.
I'm currently living in Malmö, Sweden, where I'm on exchange for a semester at the Malmö Art Academy. Unfortunately, the school isn't as intense as I anticipated, so I'm looking to use my free time here to explore new cities, meet new people, and make new photo and video based work.
Live positive and surround yourself by good, honest people. Embrace nature. Be brave. Enjoy the company of pets. Ride a bicycle. Don't hold grudges. Try everything once.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have just joined CouchSurfing but look forward to filling in this section!
I find myself attracted to the weird, surreal or uncanny aspects of living within a city, which is what the majority of my work revolves around. I truly enjoy positive conversation with positive people. I love to laugh and make others laugh. I'm constantly taking pictures of places I find myself as well as the journey. Lately I've been strapping my tripod and camera on my bicycle rack, finding a bike trail, and riding as far as I can manage towards the town with the strangest sounding name. By following this logic I've found myself in some seriously bizarre and beautiful situations. Before moving to New York and applying to art school, I danced ballet professionally. I started dancing when I was 7, eventually joined the Pacific Northwest Ballet School in Seattle, Washington, and when I turned 18 I was hired to dance professionally with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre in Pennsylvania. I don't dance any more, but quite often have dreams in which I'm dancing and very happy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This past December, my girlfriend and I followed a lead to an abandoned hospital in New Jersey, that happened to be overrun with stray cats. The place was incredibly magical: as we pulled in a group of about 15 cats ran beside our car in formation. I have countless stories from my east coast road trips, along with photo essays, that I would love to share and compare with you!
