Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am travelling to the Phillipenes, Hongkong and Sydney and want to experience what countries are actually like rather than just going to all of the tourist spots. I am from New Zealand where local areas are just as good as any tourist spot so I really want to be able to find some locals and get to know them because its a much better way to see the world. My main reason for travelling is to see new cultures and a different way of life and there is no better way to see that then couch surfing.
