I've worn many hats over the years, native New Yorker...never lived anywhere else, for better or worse. Grew up skateboarding, BMXing and going to punk and hardcore shows...I'm old enough to have been at most of the infamous CB's matinees.

I'm passionate about good food; local, seasonal, traditional...and the people that grow and produce it. I'm a chef and a whole animal butcher...and a former vegetarian.

I haven't traveled as much as I'd like, but I've spent some time in Ireland, London and Sicily, and went to Paris and Languedoc last summer.

I'm currently riding my motorcycle from NYC to Portland, I've never been cross country and I'm excited to see parts of this country that are new to me.
