About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life too the fullest!

ABOUT ME

I am a zany guy who is always up for a laugh and a good time. I hardly ever get into confrontations, preferring instead to work out/around the problem. I am easy going and don't complain instead I just enjoy myself. I am up for anything and very trusting of people due to my good judge of character. I like helping others and am not selfish. My sense of humour and love of living life too the fullest is perhaps the most distinguishing thing about me.I am a very tolerant, respectful and understanding person. I love a laugh and having fun. I don't smoke.

PHILOSOPHY

Live life too the fullest, have as much fun as you can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new here but hope to find places to crash and when I get a place of my own, offer other people a place to relax.

Interests

Back home I was into sports ranging from trampolining, rugby and paragliding. I played for my local town team in rugby and enjoyed the game. Also competed at trampolining competitions and had one at home. Had just taken up paragliding and was one lesson away from passing the course. However all of these sports were brought to an abrupt end when I very badly injured my ribs and was bed ridden for months.
When I was bed ridden I got into online gaming a fair amount, enjoying PC and Xbox games and getting very good at them.
I enjoy hiking and going for walks, enjoy nature and if I have time drawing/painting it. I'm also an enthusiastic climber of everything, mainly rocks ;)
I studied Performing Arts, English Combined, Classical Civilisations, Culture and Communications at College. Also studied Biology for one year but then dropped it. Enjoying my drama course the most I loved making people laugh and acting (silly)
Also into history and cultures a fair amount, stemming from my interest of stories. Being particularly fascinated by ancient Greek and Roman history the most.
But most of all I love having a good time and going out for a drink or even just mucking about and having fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have read almost all of Terry Pratchett's books, which I love for their great stories and humour.
I love any film that isn't a romance but I'll make an exception if it is a comedy/action/thriller mixed with romance. My favourite movies are Monty Python's, Shawn of the Dead, Jackie Chan's movies, The Prestige and The Avengers action movie or any other action/thriller/comedy movies.
I have a REALLY wide range of musical taste, if asked i generally say i like anything i can dance too. This includes rock, hip hop, pop, rap, techno, folk or even country specific music like Latino or russian style music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

First time paragliding was an amazing feeling, like you were weightless and flying. Feeling of freedom and fear at the same time, knowing your own life was in your hands.
Been to Rome and seen the Vatican, Colosseum and ruins there was breathtakingly beautiful. The artwork and architecture was astonishing.
Been to the Globe Theatre in London too see a Shakespeare play standing for 3 hours was tiring but well worth it.
Also hiking around Nelson Lake District seeing some of the most beautiful countryside in my life and swimming with 20+ ells (Didn't know the eels were there till I dived off the pier) in the mountain rain run-off, crystal clear and icey cold water.
Lewes Bonfire Night is one of the best festivals in the world (I'm biased as I live there and love it)but thousands of fireworks going off, huge bonfires, bangers, sparklers and sing alongs make for a very good night. Plus the thousands of people that pack the small village streets make for a fantastic atmosphere. Although one year my stupid friend almost over-dosed and died by drinking and doing drugs and after finding him passed out on the floor I had to carry him too the side of a road (long way) and wait for the ambulance. Then call his parents and let them know what was going on, at the time it was a nightmare but I saved my friends life, which makes for a good memory.
End of apple picking season party in New Zealand was one of the best nights out I have ever had. Surrounded by fellow apple pickers who I had become close friends with over the 3 months picking, eating steaks the size of your plate and all the free beer you could want, perfect.
