About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet the most wonderful and interesting people!

ABOUT ME

I was a mathematics teacher but dreamt of working in music broadcasting. So I quit my job and moved away. I now work full time for the BBC and it's amazing. I have many jobs but my most favourite bit is helping to produce our BBC Introducing show, going to gigs, interviewing bands and reporting from festivals.

During the week I work about 50-60 hours and love every minute of it. The dream is to do this but in America. I love new music, I love radio and love events but mostly I love America.

PHILOSOPHY

There is no point relying on other people to make your fun!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I cannot offer a place to stay at the moment as I do not have my own place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This would be my first time. I am officially a couchsurf virgin. My mate suggested it to me after discussing my options for travelling America and I have fallen in love with the idea, and to be truthful, I am excited already!

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of the films I have watched recently and loved: In Bruges, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Iron Man, American Beauty
My Music taste is eclectic; it ranges from The Libertines and Muse to George Ezra and Cat Empire.

I am a big fan of nonfiction although have read some pretty awesome fiction books reccomended to me by friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When my friend's father flew me over the golden gate bridge and up the west coast of America in his little 4 seater plane. - best experience of my life. It inspired me so much that I now really want to begin working on my own pilots licence!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn and will give anything a go! I am enthusiastic and friendly but pretty easy going. I am more than happy to bring some British delights to share and will cook some of my favourite meals for you.

If I've got it, I'm willing to share it. I am a qualified teacher (of mathematics) so it is in my nature to want to teach and learn.

Countries I’ve Visited

United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
