ABOUT ME

I have a deep love for the Earth, nature, and plants. I am resilient, an adventurer, and conscious person. To me, being conscious means being aware of myself and my thoughts, contributing my resources to things I believe in, and surrounding myself with individuals who create positivity.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in the Universe. I always ask for exactly what I need when I am supposed to receive it. I think that everything that happens is a lesson and everyone is a teacher. To have acceptance and gratitude is to truly appreciate life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling! I really getting to know a place from the perspective of a local and I am always humbled by the kindness and generosity of strangers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Getting to travel Vietnam with my family, connect to my roots, and see the crazy beauty of my home country this past winter. 3 words that reflect the Vietnamese culture: genuine, resourceful, resilient. Oh yeah, also: HUNGRY (my obsession with food is in my blood).

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a certified yoga teacher and spent my college career teaching outdoor environmental/garden-based education to the Austin community. I am passionate about food, the environment, and learning from others. I would love to hear about your travels and experiences in other cultures. I am also working on speaking Spanish fluently so I would love to practice if you speak the language!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a pretty great cook! I am an experienced adventure buddy and am easy to get along with. I spent last summer working on farms/couchsurfing and island-hopping in Hawaii so I am happy to give any advice about traveling there! I can help out in your garden if you have one and am always down to do yoga.
