About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Want each day and travel to be a miracle and eager to experience it all.
PHILOSOPHY
There are miracles every day in every thing. Life is about fully experiencing the miracles, deeply connecting with others, having immense amounts of fun, and contributing to making the world a more peaceful, wholesome place. Adventures aren't optional - they're the only way to exist!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd love to take visitors out for fun in the area. I currently have a small space but am very eager to make new friends and show off my home in the nation's capital.
Additionally, I'm eager to travel more and make friends and pen pals across the world. I'm curious to see how the CS project works.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm currently new to the CS experience but eager to become more involved

Music - listening to it, playing it, writing it, live concerts

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies - too many favorites! I'd list: Amelie, Waking Life, Persepolis, Slumdog Millionaire, and Before Sunrise as tops
Music - it would take infinity to list them all! Currently, Pandora is streaming: HelloGoodBye, Ingrid Michaelson, Mat Kearney, and Daft Punk.
Books - again far too many. Enjoyed "Wrinkle in Time", "The Giver" most non-fiction, "Three cups of tea", "reading lolita in tehran" all of Malcolm Gladwell's and Seth Godin's books...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being led through luscious rice paddy fields by Vietnamese village dwellers
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach - I love music and play a few instruments and have taught it and enjoy teaching it.
Learn - really want to learn wilderness survival and how not to get lost. (I'm far too dependent on my GPS!)
Also interested in knowing how to make 'magazine-looking-gourment-tasting' food. The kind that makes you salivate 10 feet outside the door and entices neighbors to come visit to have a taste.
Share - lots! I'd love to find a group of people who want to work on public speaking, live music performance, discuss books and philosophy of life, go on an outdoor adventure together... I've found that when you hike/bike/climb/camp with people you see more layers of them than you would at a bar or at dinner and those are experiences I want to share with others.
