I'm a recent empty-nester. I am planning a trip down to Australia in the spring, as my daughter had moved down there.
I am laid back and live a peaceful existence. I like movies, food, music and good conversation. I could be motivated to show this beautiful valley off to visitors. I have a fluffy cat who likes to head butt people in the face (but in the sweetest possibly way). I sleep year round in a hammock on my back deck.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have space in my house now and would like to preemptively pay it forward for when I travel down to Oz to visit my daughter and travel around sometime in March/April/May 2017.

Such an eclectic taste in music but not really gangsta stuff: Leonard Cohen, INXS, bebop to cook to, Oakenfold....
I like biographies and historical fiction books mostly
I like a meaty drama in movies. Although Team America left me on the floor! Into the Wild, Lord of the Rings, Garden State, Inception, Elf, Truly Madly Deeply...

I went to university and got a degree in my 50s. Pretty proud of that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a piano and a guitar to share. I really enjoy cooking for others. I know this valley pretty well and have traveled quite a bit.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to find places where I can hang my hammock when I'm abroad! Basically just 2 sturdy poles or trees about 22-16 feet apart. It will leave no trace.
My back has been so much happier since I've been sleeping in my Hennessy Hammock!
