My current mission is to not die in Portland. Also, I would like to finish (aka start) writing my thesis whilst there...I have high apple pie, etc. hopes.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love the idea of people opening up their homes for others. That's how I got through a trip in England, though I was not using this network at the time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In London my friend Rachel and I stayed with a complete stranger. Her sister was Rachel's neighbor in Tulsa. Small world. She went to meet us and we crossed paths. She looked at the two of us and our bags and asked (and if you've never heard a Colombian woman speak in London English, it's interesting) "Are you the Americans?" It was a nice stay. I also stayed randomly with someone in Sheffield.

Movies: There Will Be Blood, 3:10 to Yuma, The Evil Dead, Splendor in the Grass, Peter Pan (all Peter Pan movies), among other things.
I'm up for most things excepting rap in the music world. I have a soft spot in my heart for mid-90s country, plus classic rock.
