My name is Linh and I am from Washington, DC, USA. I have also lived in Austin, TX and loved it there. I was born in Vietnam and can speak both English and Vietnamese.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am taking a year sabbatical from being an IT analyst to travel around Australia on a work and holiday visa. I'm on Couchsurfing to help my wallet on my journey and I hope I can offer some great stories or recipes to my hosts.

Interests

I enjoy traveling and meeting new people. I have traveled to Vietnam, Japan and many islands in the Caribbean. Within the US, I have been to New York, New Orleans, San Francisco, Austin, Panama City, Miami and more. I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, gardening, photography and kayaking. I enjoy indoor activities such as cooking, baking, and crafting.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like listening all kinds of music including to pop, alternative, and country music. Music concerts and festivals are fun.

I can plop myself on a couch and watch anything (except scary movies). My favorite TV shows are food, travel or DIY related.

It's hard for me to have time to read but I am hoping that is going to change!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This adventure I am embarking on is going to be quite amazing. It will be a huge change in lifestyle for me to go from a structured 9 to 5 to not knowing what I will be doing from one day to the next. I am everything from nervous to excited. I hope you'll be able to share in my journey.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to cook and bake and would be happy to help in the kitchen.

I can share advice on places to visit in the US and Vietnam.

My IT expertise is with databases but can offered basic IT assistance. If I can be of any assistance with technology, I am happy to do so.
