About Me

I'm a graduated high school student who's currently working as a student assistant at an elementary school. I mostly work with children in general but as of now I will be assisting children with special needs.

Future plans include:
- Travel (Israel, USA, Japan, Iceland, Croatia, Germany)
- Studying abroad
- Volunteering abroad
- Growing up

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I love meeting new people, I love travelling and I'm on a strict budget (a.k.a. I'm poor). I feel like couch surfing would be an amazing way of coming into contact with all sorts of people, and experiencing the country (or city) in a way that would never compare to visiting and staying at an expensive hotel. Hostels are good places to meet people too, and while it's nice getting to know fellow tourists I feel that getting to know a local is a lot better if you want to get the "full travel experience".

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite artist of all time is Logic (rapper). I don't have a favorite at the moment, but I enjoy most movies I watch that have a good plot or storyline. When it comes to books, my favorite type is educational books about human behaviour, psychology and persuasion because I am very interested in communication, human interaction and psychology.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I conquered my anxiety for deep water and beat a record thanks to that.

It was in my first year of high school and we were learning "life saving" in gym class. There was a mandatory test were we would swim 50m (breaststroke), to then dive straight down and pick up a heavy dummy and then swim back (on our backs) with a classmate in a lifebuoy that we had to pull with us as we swam. The assessment was based on how well we knew the certain swimming- and life saving techniques, and how fast we could do it.

I would get severe anxiety while in the water and couldn't even stick my head underneath the surface, two weeks before the test. I tried my hardest, and mostly failed, but kept trying until I was able to dive and fetch the dummy. When the test came and it was my turn, I was so nervous it felt like I was going to faint. I kept thinking "get this overwith, get this overwith" and the next thing I knew, I was done. My teacher, who knew about my anxiety, approached me as I was walking back to my classmates, and revealed that I had the fastest time ever recorded in that school - at least since she started working there.

That was one of the most amazing things I've ever done.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a jack of all trades who knows a little bit about most things, I love learning and enjoy teaching as well. I'm not sure what else to write here but this will be it until I've read what other members have said in this section. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Mostly stories, but also a deep passion for pizza and french fries (or chips, whatever you prefer calling it). I've been told that I am very charismatic and interesting to listen to, and most of my stories are "captivating".
Other things I can offer:
- Cook Swedish cuisine
- Take care of / handle children
- Carry heavy objects
- Basic household chores
- Do crafts (DIY projects, make cards, candles, scrapbooking, decorating etc.)
- Organize files and documents (computer)
- Teach beginner's magic tricks & card tricks
- Give advice on practically anything, but mostly how to save money and how to handle people in general

Countries I’ve Visited

Denmark, Germany, Iceland, Japan

Countries I’ve Lived In
