About Me

We're trying to "not take all day" on this, so we're just going to cheat by copying and pasting from our Airbnb page (hence any repetition of answers) -- Matt: I’m a political science professor, and my wife, Lisa likes to re-purpose furniture, among other things - she’s very creative [Lisa: thanks, Matthew.] We're pretty laid back and have a lot of care and respect for the people and places we encounter. Can't live without food, water, shelter, clothing and love [Lisa: ahem, Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights; Barbieri 382; Goodwin 385; and all lived to tell about it - for a while at least.] Other than the few years we each spent abroad, our travels have primarily been in the US and Canada (she has relatives in Quebec). Reading, documentaries, live music, good food, wine, good conversation. We pride ourselves on leaving environments as we found them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lisa likes podcasts and biohackers à la Peter Attia and Rhonda Patrick; Matt likes poetry and politics à la... never mind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Matt: My wife predicts next-moves in movies with 'amazing' accuracy about 90-95% of the time. [Lisa: It's really not that hard - and I don't think that's what they mean by "Amazing".]
Lisa: My husband has published with both Oxford AND Cambridge press. Presses? Press. [Matt: Press. And I don't think that's what they mean by "Amazing" either.]

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmm... (Jeopardy! theme playing in background)

What I Can Share with Hosts

That's easy, vino. MOVING ON... they really should let you type what you want in the (next) field "Countries I've Visited" because: 1) the Soviet Union... Czechoslovakia (not that either of us went, but still); 2) Canada doesn't count; 3) Alaska and Africa, hello?

Countries I’ve Visited

Mexico

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Germany, United Kingdom
