To see as much of the world, and the people who inhabit her, as I can before I go.
Grew up in the States. Since I was a kid I can remember being interested in foreign cultures, languages, and traveling. Mostly inspired back then by Indiana Jones. Haha These days I just find being settled for too long makes me restless, and I get the urge to travel quite frequently. The last 2 years I have been living in Asia, and I see myself being here for quite a while longer. I'm a high school teacher in South Korea, and soon I will start a masters and possibly a Ph.D with thoughts of being a professor.
Live and let live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Mi casa es su casa! ~ My home is open to travelers. I hope to meet interesting and diverse people from all walks of life, places, and interests. Mostly I attend parties locally, but I am wiling to host, and I wish to meet fellow travelers on the road.
New to CS, but not to traveling! I've been to a few CS parties here in Seoul, but I have yet to actually CS. Time to change that!
Reading, Traveling, Sports: baseball, futbol, basketball, golf, learning new languages, international affairs and seeing as much of this world as I can in the time I've got.
I love the jungle, and I prefer adventure trips more than beach/relaxing vacations, though at times those are much needed! Learning new languages is a hobby of mine.
At some point I will do an around the world trip without the use of a plane.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Straddling flowing lava on an active volcano in Guatemala whilst cooking food from its searing heat comes to mind. Guatemala is a place of natural wonderment I recommend to all.
Being a 20 year-old young man and being forced to bribe a Russian police official with vodka and cigarettes in order to receive an immigration waiver after my passport was stolen in St.Petersburg! What proper Soviet nostalgic trip is complete without such an experience?!?
Teach, Learn, Share
Some bits of the language of whichever country I am traveling in at the time. In return, I could teach basic Korean, English or Spanish. I want to learn to play the guitar (or piano) as well. If someone can give me basic lessons in our free time that would be great! I'm easygoing and independent, so I won't require a lot of your time if you are busy.
