See the world, Make connections.
I am fun loving adventurer, music lover and singer. I love crosswords, art, reading, learning, philosophy, and health and exercise are very important to me. My current schtick has been a fascination with neurobiology. I am a hard worker, open minded, respectful and loving. Currently I work two day jobs while I am pursuing my dream career as a singer in a local band here in Portland. I love meeting new people, learning from the amazing experiences of others, hiking in the beautiful NW, being silly, and enjoying a good glass of wine or beer. I am ready to see more of the world, and I hope to start here!
I try and live in the moment as much as possible, and I'm always striving to better myself, push myself past my comfort zone and learn, both from experience and from the people around me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to list! I'm a movie buff, so there are a ton, anywhere from classics like King of Hearts and They Shoot Horses Don't They to more recent movies like Shawshank Redemption and Dogma, to inspiring movies like Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. As far as music, I have a huge range of taste as well, although I am an avid blues and rock lover. As far as books, lately I've been reading a lot more of nonfiction, neurobiology, philosophies, etc. I also am a big fan of Paul Neilan and Ron Currie Jr.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Some of the most amazing experiences of my life were had while scuba diving. Whether in a kelp forest in the Channel Islands or the Blue hole in Belize, there is nothing more majestic and serene than diving.
Climbing Mayan ruins in Belize was also amazing, and in my professional career, singing at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia backed by a big band for a huge crowd of people was pretty up there too.
