About Me

To embrace our connection to each other worldwide!

THis is hard!.... thru everything else on this page, I hope that you'd get a good idea of who I am and what I believe.
I feel like I'm here on this earth, and yet it's not all about us here on this earth. So while we're here, I believe we need to take care of each other and all of the animals, plants, and life here.
I'm a seeker...I love learning. I'm open, honest, compassionate. I also have a deep empathy for people and animals. It's a great thing and also a challenging thing at times...
I am a mother of two children which I would say happens to be a passion of mine... I LOVE these two little people! My son is almost 12 and has Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy. He is an extremely happy and intense boy and uses a power wheelchair. My daughter is 10 and is quite confident and compassionate.
My husband is a special education teacher, soccer and rugby coach, a great dancer and lover of life!

I love meeting people who are REAL...who know who they are and what's important to them (even if I don't's straight up and I know who I'm talking to) b/c that's who I am. I work at following my own intuition and being really aware when my inner voice is my intuition and when it's fear or "society's" voice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We spend a lot of time sheltered from each other...even with our vast array of technological devices, we use them to stay disconnected from the people right next to us... I love this project b/c it does just the opposite!

We've spent a couple of nights with a group of people in NC a couple of years ago, a couple of nights in Duluth, MN, and hosted a few people now, two of whom have remained good friends. All of our CS experiences have been wonderful!

Travel, other cultures, music (a good live music venue is such a treat!), reading, writing, lots and lots of spiritual work, life-coaching, homeschooling, nature, animals! etc. etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything by Eckhart Tolle, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Sera Beak, Law of Attraction/Abraham; Eat, Pray, Love; Chocolat; Almost any gorgeous music.... live is the greatest!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been to the Upper Emerald Pool at Zion National Park... more than worth the hike up.

Journeys to The Gambia, Africa to visit my husband's family... a different life style, culture, different priorities.... so much learning there! The biggest thing learned is that people are different and the same everywhere.

Teach, Learn, Share

When I hear myself saying "I should.....", I stop and ask myself, "Where is the 'should' coming from? and is it true? Catching my thoughts and asking myself if they serve me...tweaking them if they don't!
