ABOUT ME

I think I'm quite introverted, but I really enjoy having one-on-one chats. I care about a lot of things, but rarely take anything too seriously, I guess I'd consider myself as a master of putting things in perspective.

PHILOSOPHY

When I stay at one place for too long, I get quite cynical, so travelling might just be the most important thing in my life, whether it's taking the train to some place, or flying accross an ocean.

Right now I'm surfing, but reading the stories on here, I really want to get my own place soon so I can be a host as well.

Interessen

I'm interested in all kinds of art, and have been fine arts student for several years. And while I'm not sure how I'd define "interesting", being it is pretty much my goal in life.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I enjoy French new wave cinema, and the types of film you'd see at the film festival in Cannes I guess. As for music, you can find me on last.fm at last.fm/user/uiterwaarde, since it can be hard to put it in words. David Foster Wallace, Ernest Hemingway, Yukio Mishima and Mark Z. Danielewski are my favorite writers at the moment.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Flying across the atlantic was quite exciting, not because I had stay in the same seat for 9 hours, but because I was travelling across a huge body of water, 10,000 feet in the air at 500 miles an hour. Another thing that left me awestruck was when I helped an exchange student accomodate some of her friends in her room by borrowing her my inflatable mattras, I'll never forget how thankful she was for such a small effort on my part.

I know the basics of film and photography lighting and I've read quite a bit about screenwriting.

I also have a lot of experience with drawing, painting and photoshop.
