About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am an adventure junkie looking for her next hit:)

ABOUT ME

HI, I am new to couchsurfing but feel like i just found a jackpot of cool people here. I love the outdoors-I have done a lot of canoeing (here is a website about a trip I did www.CanadianWatersExpedition.weebly.com) and camping and am looking into learning how to whitewater kayak, backpack and expedition biking. I like to try new things and am pretty energetic.

PHILOSOPHY

Everybody deserves respect. Anything is possible. Seek Adventure in everything. Don't settle for less than you love.

Some people think what I want to do is radical, but I think it is crazy to spend everyday doing something you don't love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I don't have a place to lend out but when I do I would love to host.

Interests

Food: organic farming, sustainable food system, trying new foods, cooking and creating recipes! Playing; I have been told "you are like a child" because I can be very energetic and inquisitive. But don't worry, I won't leave my toys out and I'll eat all my vegetables:)!

Music, Movies, and Books

Reflections from the north country, In Defense of Food, Guide to Wild Edibles, Reviving Ophelia, Thin is the New Happy, Into the Wild, A People's History of the United States....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked to a beautiful huge waterfall in Ghana, it was roughly 200feet tall, best moment was standing directly underneath it with the water pouring on the shoulders of me and my 6 best friends as we help our hands together up in the air! Maybe it sounds cliche, but it was beautiful in many ways....
Paddled my canoe from Fort Frances, On to Churchill, Ma and felt Beluga whales bumping the bottom of our little boat in the inlet of Hudsons Bay....
Seeing teenage girls learn that they can paddle and portage a huge canoe like a PRO, realizing they have the potential to do anything. They inspired me... (I worked as a canoe guide for girl scouts ages 11-18 for a summer).
