About Me

I recently moved to Rimini to work with the theatre company Motus in Santarcangelo. I am following the organizational side of things and I am loving this experience, for the wonderful people I am meeting and the job itself.
I am interested in theatre and I'm trying to take any occasion to see and experience something new in this field.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people who can give me different perspectives on life, this is a perfect way to make encounters I probably wouldn't otherwise. I believe encounters can be life-changing, even if they just happen once!
Besides I am growing sicker and sicker of our life being based on economic choices and money, so initiatives like this have my full support!

Interests

Theatre would be in the first place for sure. Followed by cinema and dance, which I don't know so much of, though.
I love cooking and I love trying new recipes.
I am also interested in ecology and trying to reduce my trash production, I believe it is very important to try and be more coscious about the environment.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love 1930's and 1940's music: Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, the Chordettes...They make me smile! I also like more contemporary music: from songwriters like Leonard Cohen or De André, to Bossa Nova, to minimalist music.
I am not a particular film expert but I do enjoy a good movie, at the moment I have a thing for the new german cinema (Fassbinder, Wenders...)
I like reading a lot of different authors and subjects, theatre has an honorary place of course, but there's a lot to be discovered through books, lately I discovered Italo Calvino and I am waiting to feel ready to read a little more from Nietzsche.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I slept under the stars in the rain forest in Borneo. It was pretty amazing, but very scary too! I needed to pee in the night but couldn't find the courage to go down my hammock out of the mosquito net in the complete dark with my little head light that would attract all the insects around, so I just didn't do it. But still, it was amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't really know what I could teach, I don't feel like I am at the teaching stage quite yet, but of course anything you'd like to know about theatre or cooking (I'm particularly good with sweet stuff) or English I'm very happy to tell you.
From you I would like to learn anything interesting, I'm open to new stimula and particularly regarding theatre, alternative life styles or ecology!

What I Can Share with Hosts

We could have a nice meal together sharing recipes or I am also happy to cook it myself.
I might be travelling to go watch a theatre show so we could go to that together, if the host is interested in theatre, or, well, we could just have a nice chat and get to know each other maybe in front of a nice glass of wine or a cup of tea.
